Today marked a turning point in our weather here in Ellettsville as we begun our first day of our Indian Summer. As our days wind down, our weather went from a cooling trend as we warmed up. Temperatures went from a daily low of 40’s to the mid-70’s. With the warmer weather we saw a weather front moving out of the area. As the sun set it created this spectacular sunset that I felt that I had to capture to remind me that even in the coldest of months, beauty is always there if one is willing to look. Following is a composite of those images arranged together to create a painterly view of how I wish to remember the fall here in Ellettsville, Indiana.

This past weekend was a huge bust for myself with regards to time – though I enjoyed every single moment. It isn’t often that my brother has a chance to stop down to visit, even if it is to run the Hilly 100. I felt compelled to document this special occasion with a studio portrait to commemorate this milestone of his. Congrats Dan!
